PIGEON FORGE: 865-365-1883

Did you know that we are open on Thanksgiving and Christmas? Rowdy Bear’s Smoky Mountain Snow Park is open 365 days a year, providing families with endless entertainment! If you’re considering spending the holidays in Pigeon Forge, we can guarantee you won’t regret it. Check out the top 3 unique things to do in the Smoky Mountains during the holiday season:

1. Snow Tubing at Rowdy Bear’s Smoky Mountain SnowPark

You won’t find a better place for snow tubing in Pigeon Forge than Rowdy Bear. We have the largest outdoor tubing hill in Tennessee, over 500 feet long with a 70-foot drop! Conveyor belts take you and your tube to the top of the hill, where you will have incredible views of Pigeon Forge and the Smoky Mountains! Here are a few things to take note of before enjoying the fun at our snow tubing hill:

  • Children must be 48 inches tall to tube alone.
  • Children between 40 and 48 inches tall must ride with an adult in a connected tube.
  • Only one rider per tube- no lap riding allowed.
  • There is no weight limit; however, participants must be able to get in and out of tubes without assistance.
  • Pregnant women are not allowed to participate in snow tubing.
  • No cell phones or other hand-held items are permitted on the tubing hill.

Due to high demand, reservations for snow tubing are required and aren’t refundable. We especially encourage you to book your tickets for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day extra early!

2. The Festival of Lights at Skyland Ranch

Just a few minutes away from our Pigeon Forge attraction is another unique thing to do in the Smoky Mountains with live entertainment, a mountain coaster, delicious food, animals, Smoky Mountain views, and so much more! You can take a scenic chairlift or a shuttle up to Skyland Ranch, where you and your family can spend hours taking in all of the exciting things offered there. You can even join them for Thanksgiving at the ranch! Another add-on experience you won’t want to miss is the Festival of Lights. There are food trucks, music, and dancing, as well as beautiful family photo opportunities, including a life-sized Nativity and a 25-foot Christmas tree in the courtyard. Reservations are required for both of these seasonal events, so we recommend booking your spot as early as possible!

3. Pigeon Forge Winterfest

Winterfest in Pigeon ForgeOne of the most exciting things about the holiday season in the Smokies is Pigeon Forge Winterfest! The Parkway twinkles from thousands of lights and creates a magical experience. Take a driving tour or simply enjoy a scenic drive yourself and admire the beautiful light displays – you will absolutely feel the Christmas spirit after a night driving around in Pigeon Forge. We suggest playing your favorite Christmas music in the car for the ultimate festive experience! In addition to driving tours, you can also enjoy the Winterfest Wonders of Light Walking Trail, located at the Riverwalk Trial that begins on Teaster Lane. You won’t want to miss these incredible lights!
